Dr. Cochran currently serves as the chairman of the Department of Periodontics at The University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio School of Dentistry. Prior to his appointment at San Antonio, Dr. Cochran was director of Postgraduate Periodontics at the Medical College of Virginia. Dr. Cochran is a member of many professional dental organizations and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He is a fellow of the American College of Dentistry and the International College of Dentistry. Dr. Cochran has published numerous scientific articles and abstracts on various periodontal, biochemistry, and implant topics. He has received awards for his research work at both the national and international levels. Dr. Cochran received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and received his DDS, MS and PhD in Biochemistry from the Medical College of Virginia. He was trained in Periodontology at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine where he also obtained a second master's degree. He recently received an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Bern in Switzerland.
Dr. Pikos is founder and CEO of the Pikos Institute. Since 1990 he has been teaching advanced bone and soft tissue grafting courses with alumni that total more than 3,200 dentists from all 50 states and also from 43 different countries. Dr. Pikos maintains a private practice which is limited exclusively to implant surgery in Palm Harbor, Florida. He is a published author who has lectured extensively on dental implants in North and South America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Dr. Pikos is also an active member and frequent lecturer for the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Academy of Periodontics, the Academy of Osseointegration, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and the International Congress of Implantology. Dr. Pikos graduated from Ohio State University and also graduated with honors from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry.
Dr. Fugazzotto has authored and coauthored over 80 scientific articles, a monograph entitled “Guided Tissue Regeneration: Maximizing Clinical Results,” and three textbooks. He is currently a visiting lecturer at Tufts University, Harvard University, and The University of Ancona in Ancona, Italy. Dr. Fugazzotto lectures nationally and internationally of a multitude of topics and is Senior Editor of Implant Realities and the US ITI Study Club Coordinator. He received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from New York University, and his Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study from Boston University.
Dr. Donoff is the Dean of the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, a post that he has held since 1991. In addition to these responsibilities, Dr. Donoff has made major contributions in research to the specialty of oral and maxillofacial surgery. Dr. Donoff served 12 years on the board of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Foundation and is currently president of the Friends of the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research. He is editor of the MGH Manual of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a member of the editorial boards of the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the Massachusetts Dental Society Journal. He attended Brooklyn College as an undergraduate, received his DMD from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 1967 and his MD from Harvard Medical School in 1973. Dr. Donoff has received numerous honors during his academic career, and has published more than 90 papers, authored textbooks, and lectured worldwide.
Dr. Pollack has been a practicing periodontist in New York City for over 33 years. Dr. Pollack currently serves as the President of the Academy of Osseointegration (AO) and has authored numerous articles in the field of implant dentistry. Besides his longstanding affiliation as a member and former treasurer of AO, he is also a member and diplomate of the American Academy of Periodontology. Dr. Pollack holds a BA from Queen’s College and a DDS and a Certificate in Periodontics from Columbia University School of Dental Medicine
Dr. Alvaro Gracia has been practicing for over 22 years at his multi-specialty dental office, Advanced Dental Care of Norton in Norton, MA. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology, where he also currently serves as a board examiner for the organization. He holds a DDS from Javeriana University in Colombia, a DMD from Boston University, and a CAGS in Prosthodontics from Boston University.
